The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership continues this week with two re-arranged matches from earlier in the campaign.
Glentoran Women can reduce the gap at the top of the standings to Cliftonville Ladies to just four points if they beat Mid Ulster Ladies at Ashfield Boys HS, while Crusaders Strikers can stay within three points of the Glens with a win at basement side Derry City Women.
Linfield Ladies and Lisburn Ladies have now played their full allocation of fixtures before the league splits into two, while the following week will see the Glens travel to Derry and Cliftonville Ladies play host to Sion Swifts Ladies to complete their fixtures.
Derry City Women vs Crusaders Strikers, Brandywell, 7.45pm
Emily Wilson netted twice in a three-goal win for Crusaders Strikers at home to Derry City Women in the reverse fixture back in April.
This is a clash between two sides in totally contrasting form, the Crues have won their last seven league games against the five teams below them in the standings – while recently holding Glentoran Women to a draw.
The Crues lost 2-1 on their last trip to the Brandywell in August last year but they will be heavy favourites for this game.
Glentoran Women vs Mid Ulster Ladies, Ashfield Boys HS, 8pm
Glentoran Women came from behind to beat Cliftonville Ladies last time out and breathe life into the title race.
The Glens play host to Mid Ulster Ladies before travelling to Derry City Women next week and will be hopeful of six points from six to take them into the split and boost their title hopes.
Goals from Rachel Rogan, Casey Howe and Jess Foy helped the Glens to a 3-1 win at Mid Ulster last April – as Rachael Rodgers pulled a goal back in the second half.
