Bangor moved to the top of the Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League while evening leaders Ballymacash Rangers surrendered a two-goal lead in the Lisburn derby.
There were also victories for Armagh City and Limavady United while the derby at Mill Meadow ended all square.
The Seasiders hit two goals without reply past the PSNI at Clandeboye Park to move into pole position. Both goals came after the break with Adam Neale opening the scoring after an hour from a Scott McArthur flick with Ben Arthurs adding the second five minutes from time.
Ballymacash Rangers went into the evening on top, and led Lisburn Distillery by goals Jordon Morrison and Dylan Davidson at the break. However the Whites bagged a quick double just before the hour via Matthew Swann and Lewis Higginson in an entertaining clash streamed live on the NI Football League’s YouTube channel.
Armagh City picked up their first win of the campaign – and climbed off the foot of the table – with a 2-0 victory over Banbridge Town at Holm Park. Harry Anderson opened the scoring for the Eagles after just three minutes before Stefan Lavery doubled up just five minutes after that.
Limavady United swept to a 3-1 win over Portstewart in the North-West derby at The Showgrounds. Ryan Doherty kicked the scoring off after five minutes with Tiarnan Boorman making it 2-0 with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock. Doherty then added a third for the Roesiders with Ryan Doherty bagging a late consolation for the Seahawks.
Meanwhile, Moyola Park and Tobermore United shared the spoils at Mill Meadow. Declan Martin fired the visitors in front early on but Ian Parkhill levelled for the home side midway through the first half.
The game between Dollingstown and Queen’s University at Planter’s Park was postponed due to a generator failure before kick-off.
