Ballymena United boss David Jeffrey has agreed a contract extension with the club to keep him at The Showgrounds for another three years.
Jeffrey joined the Sky Blues in March 2016 and in that time secured a first ever League Cup victory for the club, guided them to second place in the Premiership, progressed a round in European competition and helped them appear in a further five cup finals.
Already the longest serving manager in the history of the club, this extension will see the 59-year-old stretch his time in the hotseat to nine years.
Speaking to the official club website, Jeffrey said: "I am absolutely delighted, honoured and privileged to be offered an extension to my existing contract here.
"I have always said from the day and hour that I came, that I want to serve our club for as long as those at the club thought that I could do a job. That hasn't changed. I am here because the club have put their faith in me and I count it as a privilege to serve here."
And his words were echoed by club chairman John Taggart: "I'm delighted that David has extended his contract with ourselves.
"David has had a successful six year term, the stats speak for themselves in comparison to any previous manager, and we are confident in him and his staff team to lead us into the next era at the Showgrounds".
