February’s Danske Bank Player of the Month is Glentoran star Conor McMenamin.

McMenamin scored five goals in the month, including an impressive hat-trick against Glenavon. He also bagged a second half winner in Glentoran’s 1-0 win over Linfield at The Oval.

McMenamin last won the prestigious NIFWA prize in December 2019, during his spell with Cliftonville.

The delighted Glentoran forward said: “It’s nice to be scoring goals and it’s nice to be in a team that’s playing well. This award is really for the whole team, as everyone has played a part in our good form.

“Obviously, everyone is taking about the title race, but all we can do is focus on ourselves and win our games. With Cliftonville and Linfield still in the mix, it’s an exciting thing to be part of. There’s still a long way to go.”

Cliftonville left-back Levi Ives was runner-up, with his Solitude teammate Jonny Addis in third.
