Portadown have signed defender Lee Upton from Annagh United on a one-year deal.

Upton made 35 Championship appearances for Annagh last season and helped them to the runners-up spot before losing the play-off to, ironically, Portadown.

The 20-year-old is no stranger to Shamrock Park after coming up through the youth system at the club and guiding the U20 side to the Championship Development League title in 2018.

A Northern Ireland youth international, his career also took him to Dungannon Swifts and Loughgall before arriving at Annagh just before the end of 2019/20 season.
