Glentoran striker Conor McMenamin made his Northern Ireland senior debut in Sunday's UEFA Nations League scoreless draw away to Cyprus.
McMenamin is part of the panel for the quadruple header against the Cypriots (twice), Greece and Kosovo. He was an unnamed substitute in the defeat to Greece on Thursday evening but took his bow in Larnaca on 64 minutes as a replacement for former Crusaders man Gavin Whyte.
It was an impressive debut for the 26-year-old. He showed confidence on 74 minutes when he delivered a ball from the left and attempted to curl it into the far corner only to send it just over.
Then, on 83 minutes, he sent another ball into the box for Ali McCann who, despite having the goal at his mercy, failed to find the target while, with a couple of minutes to go, another cross was swung in, this time for Kyle Lafferty, but again there was no end product.
McMenamin will have a chance to win another cap on Thursday evening away to Kosovo before the Cyprus return game next Sunday at Windsor Park.
