Glentoran striker Conor McMenamin made his second start for Northern Ireland in today's UEFA Nations League draw with Cyprus at Windsor Park.

The 26-year-old got another 69 minutes at the highest level under his belt, winning his third cap, before being replaced by Niall McGinn.

It follows on from playing the full 90 in the 3-2 loss to Kosovo on Thursday evening and, of course, his debut - again against Cyprus - a week ago in Larnaca.

Today's game brought to an end a busy period of international which also saw domestic football in Northern Ireland represented at both U21 and U19 levels.

The Under-21s concluded their 2023 UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign with a defeat to Spain at Inver Park followed by a draw in Lithuania.

Linfield's Chris McKee was the only locally based player to feature in both games, getting 59 minutes against the impressive Spaniards before being replaced by Newry City's John McGovern and then playing the majority of the Lithuanian game a few days later.

Also getting game time over the double header was Larne's Kofi Balmer and Dungannon Swifts man Terry Devlin in addition to David Walsh (Linfield) and Calvin McCurry (Cliftonville) who were both unused subs.

Meanwhile, a further six players were involved in the U19s trip to Malta as Gerard Lyttle's team prepared for the forthcoming European qualifiers in the autumn.

Northern Ireland won both games (6-0 and 2-1 respectively) in Ta'Qali with Glentoran's Aaron Wightman starting both while Conor Scannell (Glenavon), Patrick Kelly (Coleraine), Ryan Donnelly (Dungannon Swifts) and Portadown duo Sam Glenfield and Reece Jordan all played their part across the week.
