Larne embark on another European adventure this evening when they visit Gibraltar to take on St. Joseph's in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Tiernan Lynch's side made quite the impact twelve months ago on their continental debut, progressing through two rounds of the competition before going out to Portuguese side Paços Ferreira although even that brought a victory at Inver Park.

Lynch has reshuffled his pack over the summer with the arrivals of Leroy Millar (Ballymena United), Shea Gordon (Partick Thistle), Jack McIntyre (Sunderland) plus Aaron Donnelly and Daniel Kearns from Cliftonville to offset the departures of Ronan Hale, Dean Jarvis, Lee Lynch, David McDaid and Navid Nasseri amongst others.

In preparation for their latest foray into Europe, Larne warmed up with defeats to Dundalk and Hamilton Academical before rounding off with a two-goal victory over Champions League side The New Saints.

Their opponents, St. Joseph's, are Gibraltar's oldest club (formed in 1912) and qualified after finishing third in the Premier Division.

They have accrued considerable European experience in recent seasons and, in 2019/20, progressed a round after defeating Kosovan side Prishtina before losing heavily to Rangers. Last season held Estonian outfit FCI Levadia at home before losing the away leg.

Kick-off this evening at the Victoria Stadium is 6pm, with the return at Inver Park next Thursday at 7:45pm. The winners of the tie go forward to meet Slavia Prague in the next round.
