Glentoran Women Reserves moved to the top of Electric Ireland Women’s Academy League thanks to a 7-1 victory at Sion Swifts Ladies Under-19s.
Megan Neill and Rachel McIntyre each netted twice for the Glens while Aimee-lee Peachey, Maeve McConaghey and Rachel McCabe were also on the scoresheet, as Tara O’Connor-Farren bagged a consolation for Sion.
That result means that the East Belfast side have moved above Linfield Ladies Swifts at the top of the standings on goal difference, but the Blues have one game in hand.
Elsewhere, Crusaders Strikers Under-19s came from two goals down to record a 4-3 victory over Derry City Women Under-19s.
Louise Harkin opened the scoring for the Candystripes before an own goal from Crues goalkeeper Erin Hayes doubled the advantage at half-time.
However, second half substitutes Jessica McGuinness, Lucy Kelly and Darcie McNeill all found the net to turn the game on its head.
There was late drama as Derry thought they had rescued a point when Aoife Kelly levelled with two minutes remaining but there was one final twist as Leah Wilgaus bagged a last-gasp winner for the hosts.
