The NI Football League has today updated the Covid Case Policy and issued to all member clubs.
The existing Covid Case Policy has been reviewed by the NIFL Board and re-issued to provide further clarity to clubs around reporting of cases and squad selection for clubs effected by Covid.
Chief Operating Officer, Steven Mills, said, "The Covid-19 Case Policy has been in place throughout the pandemic but the arrival of the Omnicron variant presented new challenges to our clubs and the league.
"It had been agreed that the Policy could be updated as the pandemic evolved and after feedback from our clubs and the managers, accompanied by shared knowledge from other leagues - now is the right time to update the Policy to ensure we continue to minimise the disruption to the league schedule, whilst ensuring the health and wellbeing of all participants."
The Covid-19 Case Policy is currently applicable to the Danske Bank Premiership, Lough 41 Championship and Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League.
