The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership continues on Wednesday night with three fixtures across the division in match week ten.

Glentoran Women’s scheduled clash against Mid Ulster Ladies has been postponed to accommodate their Champions League fixture against Romanian champions Olimpia Cluj on Thursday.

The game of the week sees two of the hopefuls for top three spots go head-to-head as Linfield Ladies play host to Crusaders Strikers.

The other two fixtures sees Cliftonville Ladies travel to Derry City Women travel as Sion Swifts Ladies host Lisburn Ladies – in a reverse of the season’s second round of fixtures.

Derry City Women vs Cliftonville Ladies, Brandywell, 7.45pm
Cliftonville Ladies ran out six-goal victors of Derry City Women in the reverse fixture at Solitude back in April.

Marissa Callaghan and Caitlin McGuinness netted two goals apiece, with Danielle Maxwell and Toni-Leigh Finnegan also among the scorers.

The Reds have won all eight league fixtures this campaign but left it late to win at Crusaders Strikers last week thanks to Abbie Magee’s late goal while Derry drew 0-0 at Lisburn Ladies.

If Cliftonville win this game, they will move five points clear at the top of the standings over Glentoran Women.

Linfield Ladies vs Crusaders Strikers, Midgely Park, 7.45pm
A late Julie Nelson free-kick rescued a point for Crusaders Strikers against Linfield Ladies earlier in the campaign.

Rebecca Bassett’s first half goal had appeared to put the Blues on course for all three points but the points were ultimately shared.

Just one point separates the two sides in the standings, with fourth-placed Linfield having played a game more for the Crues – so this is crucial for both side’s aspirations of a top half finish this campaign.

Sion Swifts Ladies vs Lisburn Ladies, Melvin Sports Complex, 7.45pm
Sion Swifts Ladies ran out 5-1 victors at the Bluebell Stadium in the reverse fixture earlier this season – Cora Chambers netted twice with Naomi Donnan and Caoirse Doherty also on target.

Sion are in a strong run of form having won at Mid Ulster Ladies last time out, having lifted the Women’s Premiership League Cup this summer – and currently sit third in the standings.

Lisburn Ladies have lost just one of their last four matches (excluding penalty shootouts) across the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership and Women’s Premiership League Cup – being held to a home draw by Derry City Women last week.
