Newington were the big winners after another round of Lough 41 Premier Intermediate League action which also produced victories for Dollingstown, Banbridge Town, Lisburn Distillery and the PSNI.
The Swans travelled to second place Bangor and emerged five-goal victors to stretch their advantage at the top of the table to four points with three games remaining.
Jack Reilly opened the scoring after six minutes, but it took until the early stages of the second half for Patrick Downey to add a second. Gary Warwick made it 3-0 on 79 minutes, Downey doubled his tally moments later before Conal Burns wrapped things up in stoppage time.
Armagh City remain third, but Shea Campbell's side had perhaps one eye on Tuesday's Intermediate Cup final after going down by two goals at home to Dollingstown. Oisin Barr edged the visitors in front late in the first half with Gary Liggett knocking home a second just before the hour.
Banbridge Town's Reece Doyle hit a late winner as they defeated Limavady United at The Showgrounds after the sides had traded goals in the first half through Ryan Doherty and Jack Clarke.
PSNI travelled to Fortwilliam Park to record a 5-1 victory over Tobermore United with skipper Tony Tumelty hitting a 13-minute second half hat-trick for the visitors while, at Ballyskeagh, Lisburn Distillery defeated Moyola Park by the odd goal in three.
