It was a busy week of international action at Under-19 and Under-21 level for some of the Danske Bank Premiership's brightest young stars.
Dungannon Swifts Terry Devlin played his part for Gerard Lyttle's U19 side as they made their return to action for the first time in a couple of years with a double header against the Faroe Islands.
The first game, on Wednesday, saw Devlin come off the bench for Everton's Isaac Price to play for 25 minutes in a 1-0 victory at Mourneview Park.
And the 17-year-old was involved again in the follow up game at The Oval on Friday afternoon, being named amongst the starting XI and playing for over an hour before being replaced amid a raft of substitutions as Northern Ireland again won by the only goal of the game.
Meanwhile, it was off to more exotic climes for Kofi Balmer, Trai Hume, Ryan Waide, Oisin Smyth, Harry Anderson and Cameron Palmer as the Under-21s kicked off their latest Euro qualifying campaign in Malta.
Unfortunately Northern Ireland, playing under new boss John Schofield for the first time, found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline.
Hume, Balmer and Waide all started and played the full 90 minutes while Smyth came on for Caolan Boyd-Munce at half-time with Anderson making a late appearance with five minutes remaining.
