Cliftonville maintained their charge at the top of the table with victory over Warrenpoint Town at Solitude while there were wins also for Coleraine, Crusaders and Dungannon Swifts.
The Reds, six points clear, needed just one goal to defeat 'Point but had to wait until there was just over a quarter-of-an-hour left on the clock when Ryan Curran powered home the winning header.
Behind them are four teams tied on ten points apiece.
Coleraine are second on goal difference. They had goals from Matthew Shevlin, Eoin Bradley and Cathair Friel to thank for a 3-0 win over Ballymena United on a day the Bannsiders also marked the opening of their new 4G surface.
It was a good day, too, for Crusaders. Stephen Baxter's side sit in third spot after a three-goal defeat of Glentoran at The Oval. Adam Lecky opened the scoring after nine minutes but it took two second half goals from Ben Kennedy and Aidan Wilson to make sure.
Larne and Carrick Rangers are also on ten points. The side met in the evening kick-off at Inver Park and despite the home side having two goals disallowed the game ultimately ended scoreless.
There was also a scoreless draw at Mourneview Park between Glenavon and Linfield, although both sides did receive a red card each following the dismissals of Andrew Doyle and Christy Manzinga early in the second half.
Meanwhile, Dungannon Swifts picked up their first win of the campaign courtesy of a 4-1 defeat of Portadown at Shamrock Park. Ryan Mayse kicked the scoring off as early as the second minute, with Joe McCready adding a second around the half-hour mark.
Sammie McLeod reduced the deficit in first half stoppage time but later goals from Cahal McGinty and Rhyss Campbell earned the points for Dean Shiels' side.
