Glentoran striker Lauren Wade found the net for Northern Ireland at Seaview on Tuesday night as Kenny Shiels' side battled to a 2-2 draw with Austria in their latest Women's World Cup qualifier.

Wade levelled for the national team just 47 seconds after the break when she ran onto a Rachel Furness ball to fire past the Austrian keeper into the bottom corner.

The 27-year-old was one of six Danske Bank Women's Premiership stars to start the game alongside her Glentoran team-mate Kerry Beattie. Wade played 79 minutes before being replaced by Simone Magill while Beattie gave way for Crusaders' Emily Wilson deep into stoppage time.

Of those starting the game the vastly experienced Julie Nelson (Crusaders) plus Cliftonville pair Marissa Callaghan and Kelsie Burrows completed the full 90 minutes while a third Red, Kirsty McGuinness, played for 87 minutes before Glentoran's Jessica Foy came on in her place.

Maddy Harvey-Clifford and Rachel McLaren (both Crusaders), Glentoran duo Emma McMaster and Joely Andrews plus Cliftonville's Louise McDaniel were all unused subs.
