It was a good weekend in the Lough 41 Championship for Ards, Newry City, Ballyclare Comrades, Dundela and Knockbreda.
Newry City kicked it all off on Friday evening with a 3-0 defeat of Annagh United at the BMG Arena thanks to goals from Northern Ireland U21 international John McGovern, Daniel Hughes and Jimmy Walker.
That moved Darren Mullen's side back to the top of the table, and they were joined at the summit on Saturday evening by Ards - with an identical record - following their 3-1 home win over Ballinamallard United. Eamon Scannell, Daniel Reynolds and Calvin McCurry all found the net for Ards while Josh McIlwaine scored for the Mallards.
Ballyclare Comrades are in third spot, three points adrift, thanks to an Andrew Mooney double which handed them victory over Dergview at Darragh Park while fourth placed Loughgall lost a little ground following their scoreless draw at home to bottom of the table Queen's University.
Dundela cruised to a comfortable four-goal success over HW Welders in the East Belfast derby. Eoin Kane opened the scoring for the Duns as early as the second minute with Guillaume Keke making it 2-0 on 20 minutes. Jay Magee added a third on 69 minutes before Keke doubled this tally to complete the scoring with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
Meanwhile, at the Brandywell, Lee McGreevy scored twice as Knockbreda proved to be too strong for Institute. Ross McCaughan also found the net for the visitors while Brendan McLaughlin hit a late consolation for 'Stute.
