Ryan McGivern has become Newry City boss Darren Mullen's latest signing in what has been a busy few weeks at The Showgrounds.
McGivern, 31, joins his hometown club after three years at Windsor Park with Linfield for whom he signed from Swindon Town.
Capped over 20 times by Northern Ireland, the much travelled centre-back also enjoyed a long cross channel career with Northampton Town, Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale, Hibernian and Manchester City as well as loan spells with Bristol City, Crystal Palace, Walsall, Leicester City and Morecambe.
He is the most recent in a series of new arrivals at Newry, following hard on the heels of Daniel Hughes (Dungannon Swifts), Steven Maguire (Dollingstown), Samuel McIlveen (Ballyclare Comrades), Philip Donnelly (most recently Warrenpoint Town) and Fra Brennan (Dungannon Swifts).
