The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership continues on Wednesday night with two more matches to complete the matchday.
Cliftonville Ladies are back on top of the league after a 5-2 win at Linfield Ladies on Monday night but Glentoran Women will resume top spot - albeit having played a game more - if they beat Sion Swifts Ladies at Melvin.
After last season’s shortened campaign due to the pandemic, this season sees a full restoration with each of the sides in the top-flight playing each other four times.
Elsewhere, Crusaders Strikers will be hoping to build on four wins from their last five games as they host Derry City Women.
Crusaders Strikers v Derry City Women
Crusaders Strikers have won all 13 meetings between the sides but needed a 94th minute winner from Emily Wilson when the two sides met last month.
This will be the third time the two sides have met this season - the Crues ran out 4-1 victors at Seaview prior to that 1-0 win at the Brandywell.
The hosts will be favourites for this game with Derry looking to cause an upset.
The Crues can cement their top three status with a victory while a win for the visitors would lift them off bottom spot.
Sion Swifts Ladies v Glentoran Women
The Melvin Sports Complex was the venue of Glentoran’s only defeat last season - blowing a 3-1 lead to lose 4-3 in a pulsating encounter.
Indeed, prior to this season Sion had won the last three meetings between the two sides although there has been a great deal of change on the respective playing staffs during that timeframe.
Billy Clarke’s side have won both meetings between the pair this season - including a 4-1 win at Ashfield Boys High School earlier this month - as striker Kerry Beattie netted a remarkable four goals.
Indeed, Beattie has hit seven goals in two games against Sion - having bagged a hat-trick in their meeting in Strabane in May.
