It was a good day to be on the road in the Lough 41 Championship with Newry City, Ards, Annagh United and Ballinamallard United all winning away from home.

Loughgall bucked that trend with victory at Lakeview Park while it ended all square at Breda Park.

Newry City remain eight points clear at the top, but they could only defeat bottom side Queen's University thanks to a Daniel Hughes second half strike at The Dub.

Ballinamallard United are in second spot after coming from behind to defeat Institute at the Brandywell. Joel Bradley Walsh fired 'Stute in front during the opening exchanges but Joshua McIlwaine levelled around the half-hour mark before BJ Banda knocked home the winner from the spot on 63 minutes.

Stephen Murray bagged both goals as Annagh United hit two without reply past Dundela at Wilgar Park. He opened the scoring with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock before making sure with four minutes remaining.

Nedas Maciulaitis also hit two goals at Loughgall defeated HW Welders 3-0 at Lakeview Park while Mark Patton also found the net for the Villagers.

Ards picked up an important win away to Ballyclare Comrades. The home side moved in front through Ciaran Heggarty on 11 minutes but Conall McGrandles and Ross Arthurs tipped the balance in favour of the visitors midway through the first half.

Patrick Cafolla added to Ards' lead just before the hour but Chris Ramsey pulled one back on 72 minutes before Salou Jallow settled things in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, at Breda Park, Knockbreda shared the spoils with Dergview after Anto Burns levelled to cancel out Jamie Browne's opener for the visitors.
