It proved to be a productive weekend for Loughgall boss Dean Smith as he continued his preparations for the upcoming campaign.
On Friday evening the Villagers agreed a fresh loan deal with Glenavon for striker Ross Hunter for the entirety of the 2020/21 season.
Last term the 18-year-old scored three times in five outings for the Lurgan Blues before going on loan to Lakeview Park in January where he bagged another goal before the curtailment of the season - and Hunter duly celebrated the news by scoring in a friendly against Coleraine that evening!
Then, on Saturday, it was announced that last season's leading scorer Nathaniel Ferris signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until at least 2022.
Ferris found the net 27 times in 32 appearances during 19/20, including nine in his last five games before the campaign was suspended, one of which included the winner in the Mid-Ulster Cup final.
