Players and supporters from across the Irish League have been taking to the hills for HikeForHarrie campaign to help with bereavement care at the Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast.
In honour of Harrie Kane, baby son of Glentoran captain Marcus and his wife Aimee and baby brother of Mollie the family have set out to raise £10,000 to help with Bereavement care at the Royal Maternity Hospital Belfast.
The challenge is to walk just one mile or more in your local area whilst observing all current social distancing rules.
Every single penny raised will be spent on resources for the unit, including items for memory boxes for parents and siblings, equipment for the room, staff training and all the little extras that made Marcus and Aimee’s stay in hospital that little bit easier. Your donations, no matter how small, will make a difference to families going through the worst time imaginable.
Players past and present from clubs across the clubs in the NI Football League have been sharing their photos on social media using the hashtag #HikeForHarrie on social media and nominating others to do the same.
You can make your own donations on Aimee’s Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/harriekane?utm_term=gpv82MWeN
