In support of the Glenavon community, the Club has launched a Covid-19 Response Initiative to provide long term assistance to those who need it most.
This could be those who are ill or self-isolating, or for whatever reason cannot get out to get essential items.
Commencing Saturday 21 March, Mourneview Park will be open each Tuesday morning (10am – 12pm), Thursday evening (6pm – 8pm) and Saturday morning (10am – 12pm) as a drop off point for essential items for the most vulnerable within our community during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
Items required, but not limited to, include:
We appreciate not everyone will make it along to donate in person, so a GoFundMe page has been set up, with any monies raised available to purchase essential items.
You can donate at https://gofundme.com/f/glenavon-covid19-response-initiative Any donations will be much appreciated.
We would encourage anyone who needs assistance to contact a member of the team. This could be those in need of essential items, those who need help with their shopping, those who need a prescription or medication, or for any other urgent need.
We would also encourage you to pass these telephone numbers onto family, friends and neighbours who may not have access to the website or social media.
We will also need volunteers to man the drop of point, and to provide direct support to those who call i.e. delivering items, shopping etc.
To donate, get involved or help in any other way, please contact one of our co-ordinators by call or text:
