It was a productive weekend for Loughgall boss Dean Smith with the announcement that no fewer than eight players pledged their commitment to the Villagers for another year.
The news comes just after Berraat Türker and Jordan Lyttle agreed two year extensions to their own contracts, while Smith himself signed a similar deal earlier in the week.
Amongst those putting pen to paper are club captain Steven Ferguson. The 37-year-old midfielder has been at Lakeview Park since 2011 and despite being the oldest member of the squad still turned in 31 appearances during the most recent campaign. The new deal will also take him into his testimonial year.
Also staying for another year is Andrew Hoey. A signing from Armagh City during the January transfer window in 2017, the 23-year-old hit seven goals from 32 midfield appearances during 2019/20.
The youngest of the octet, 19-year-old John Scott, made the switch from Dungannon Swifts in August 2019 and clocked up 19 appearances last term while Ben Neill (20), joined from Annagh United in August 2017 and appeared 14 times.
The most recent arrival, Ben Murdock, signed from Dundela in January this year but did enough in his six outings - including scoring twice - to warrant an extended stay.
Meanwhile, Dale Malone, Jordan Gibson and Jamie Rea - with almost 100 appearances last season between them - also agreed to stay with the Villagers for another twelve months.
