Ballymena United manager David Jeffrey has made his first signing of the transfer window by bringing Ryan Waide to The Showgrounds.
The 20-year-old striker joins the Sky Blues from Linfield, but spent much of last season on loan with Dungannon Swifts, scoring six goals in his 30 outings for Kris Lindsay's side.
Jeffrey was delighted to get his man. Speaking to the official club website he said, "He's a young man of great talent, ability and pace.
"Everything was going well for him at Linfield until he had an unfortunate car accident which knocked him back a bit. Obviously football doesn’t stand still for anybody, and over that period other players came in and Ryan went out on loan.
"He's an exciting talent who has suffered some misfortune but is now fit and ready to grasp the opportunity. He is versatile - he can play through the middle, wide and off the front man - and his attitude and desire to come and join us at Ballymena was most pleasing, and is always reassuring to see in a player."
