Danske Bank Premiership champions Linfield have moved swiftly to announce no fewer than four major signings on the first day of the transfer window.
Boss David Healy has signalled his intent to chase for a third successive title by bringing Christy Manzinga, Chris Johns, Conor Pepper and Navid Nasseri to the club.
Manzinga (25), a French national, spent last season with Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership and, before that, with Sporting Châtelet and Angers in Belgium and France respectively.
Nasseri makes the switch to Windsor Park less than 24 hours after helping cross city rivals Glentoran lift the Irish Cup for a 23rd time with victory over Ballymena United at the same venue.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Blues on a two-year contract following a season at The Oval which produced eight goals from 28 appearances in all competitions.
Pepper also arrives from the Glens on a two season deal. The 26-year-old spent a couple of years with Glentoran whilst prior to that the Dublin born midfielder picked up experience in Scottish football with Greenock Morton and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Johns will bolster Healy's goalkeeping options following his transfer from league runners-up Coleraine. The 25-year-old spent four years with the Bannsiders after a short spell with Bangor. Prior to that the former Northern Ireland U21 international spent time with Southampton after a season with Dungannon Swifts at the beginning of his career.
