Aaron Burns has returned to Portadown following his release by Ballymena United earlier this month.
The 28-year-old midfielder is back at Shamrock Park having previously been with the club during the second half of the 2012/13 campaign.
He then went on to spend several seasons with Linfield, a year-and-a-half at Coleraine and a further season with the Sky Blues, picking up League and Irish Cup winners medals along the way.
Ports boss Matthew Tipton remarked to the official club website: "This calibre of player doesn’t come around too often, we believe Aaron can add a lot of ability to the squad as well as experience and winning mentality. Really pleased to get Aaron on board and looking forward to seeing him in a Ports shirt."
