Ballymena United conceded four goals without reply to confirm their Europa League exit at the hands of Malmö FF at The Showgrounds.
The Sky Blues had shipped seven goals a week previously in Sweden, and fell behind in the return after 27 minutes courtesy of an exquisitely struck Behrang Safari 30-yard volley which appeared to come out of nowhere.
That was how it stayed until seven minutes into the second half when Guillermo Molins chipped Ross Glendinning from close range before, just over a quarter-of-an-hour later, Erdal Rakip rounded off a flowing move with a composed finish from inside the area.
The scoring was complete 11 minutes from time courtesy of Romain Gall's spot-kick awarded after Cathair Friel was adjudged to have impeded Jo Inge Berget.
