POINT THROUGH TO LAST 16

Warrenpoint Town booked their place in the next round of the BetMcLean League Cup following this victory over Annagh United.

The sides traded goals in the opening quarter-of-an-hour with Eamon Scannell edging 'Point in front after nine minutes before Jackson Holmes levelled for the home side just three minutes later following a mistake by keeper Berratt Türker.

However, Ciaran O'Connor restored Warrenpoint's lead midway through the first half.

Then, just before the hour, Robbie Norton stepped up to slot home a penalty to complete the scoring, squeezing the ball home at the right post despite Shane McPartland correctly guessing which way to dive.
