Diarmuid O'Carroll struck twice late in the game to book Crusaders a place in Wasp Solutions League Cup quarter-finals after a thrilling defeat of Coleraine at Seaview.
The Bannsiders went in front after half-an-hour when he collected a Darren McCauley ball before turning to send an overhead kick past Crues 'keeper Jack Duffin.
Coleraine thought they had doubled their lead with the first move of the second half after Howard Beverland played David Ogilby through only for his 'goal' to be ruled out offside.
The Crues levelled with 20 minutes remaining, however, when Paul Heatley brought the ball down the right before crossing for Richard Clarke to finish strongly.
And they gained the upper hand eight minutes after that after Diarmuid O'Carroll found himself unmarked at the near post to flicked home a Heatley corner.
But, barely three minutes after that, it was 2-2 when substitute Neil McCafferty despatched a free-kick from the edge of the area into the left-hand corner.
Then, right at the end of normal time, Joe McNeill conceded a penalty after bringing down Heatley in the box - and whilst O'Carroll saw his subsequent spot-kick kept out by Doherty he pounced to stab home the rebound.
