Lurgan Celtic moved into the second round of the Northern Ireland League Cup after a penalty shoot-out defeat of Premier Intermediate opponents Bangor at Knockramer Park.
The Seasiders moved in front as early as the sixth minute with a good finish from an acute angle.
It was a lead Garth Scates' side held until the third minute of the second half before Conor McAnallen levelled for Celtic with a back post header from a deep cross.
With no further goals coming in the remainder of the 90 minutes nor extra-time it was left to the lottery of penalties to seperate the sides with Celtic converting on each occasion to emerge 5-4 victors.
The Hoops travel to Knockbreda in the next round on August 30th.
