Crusaders inflicted a first defeat of the season on Coleraine to progress into the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup.
The Bannsiders seized the early advantage, going ahead after ten minutes through Gareth McConaghie when he met the ball at close range to direct a header past Brian Jensen.
Crusaders almost levelled just before the break only for Jordan Owens to turn a header against an upright but, three minutes into the second half, Jordan Forsythe went one better when he was allowed, unmarked, to head beyond Chris Johns.
And he edged the Crues in front on the hour after finishing clinically from Declan Caddell's cross.
Coleraine equalised three minutes after that courtesy of a Jamie McGonigle's run and subsequent finish from an acute angle.
However, with a quarter-of-an-hour to go, Caddell grabbed what proved to be the winner after he pounced on a lapse in the Coleraine defence after they failed to clear Craig McClean's cross into the area.
