Coleraine hit three goals without past neighbours Limavady United to safely reach the last 16 of the League Cup.

Oran Kearney's side started brightly, Lyndon Kane saw an early effort blocked while a James McLaughlin free-kick was turned away by 'keeper Paul Wells.

Darren McCauley opened the scoring for the Bannsiders after ten minutes with a left-foot finish after a Neil McCafferty quick free-kick was knocked on by Kane.

That was how it stayed until just after the hour when McLaughlin turned home a close range header after Rodney Brown crossed from the left.

Then, with eight minutes remaining, Kane crossed from the right for the unmarked McLaughlin to beat Wells once more with a downward header.
