Andrew Waterworth bagged four goals as Linfield took a huge step closer to the Gibson Cup with victory over Dungannon Swifts in the live TV game at Stangmore Park.
Linfield took the game by the scruff of the neck right from the start with three goals inside the opening half-an-hour.
Waterworth opened the scoring on seven minutes with a nodded finish past Evan Moran following some great play by Jordan Stewart down the right.
Then, not long after that, it was 2-0 with Waterworth again finding the net with a sidefoot finish from 12 yards after Stewart squared an Andy Mitchell pass into his path.
Not content with that, Jimmy Callacher added a third on 25 minutes when he rose highest at the back post to head home Mitchell's free-kick from the left.
There was almost a fourth soon after but Chris Hegarty managed to turn the ball away as Chris Casement looked poised to pounce before Niall Quinn sent an effort narrowly wide moments later.
The visitors did add number four, however, on 56 minutes with Waterworth's hat-trick goal, a close range header after Callacher had knocked the ball forward.
And the scoring was complete just over a quarter-of-an-hour later with Waterworth's fourth of evening, a low finish across Moran after Daniel Kearns had supplied the crucial ball.
