Crusaders stretched their lead at the top to seven points following this sensational thumping of second placed Portadown at Seaview.
The Crues got off to an absolutely blistering start with three goals inside the opening 17 minutes.
Jordan Owens kicked things off on ten minutes with a close range finish after displaying good control inside the box.
He doubled his tally three minutes after that after running onto the ball from a Colin Coates knock down before team-mate Paul Heatley got in on the act four minutes later with a header from a Richard Clarke cross.
And it got worse for the Ports on 22 minutes when Darren Murray was shown a straight red card for appearing to direct his head towards Billy Joe Burns.
Then, just before the hour mark, Owens collected the match ball with his third of the evening, a free header in front of goal after Heatley was given ample space to deliver the cross.
But the Crues weren't content with that.
With five minutes remaining Diarmuid O'Carroll converted from the spot - a right-foot drive high into the net - after being pushed by Ross Redman inside the area before Heatley completed the rout just a couple of minutes after that.
