In the season where we welcomed the one millionth fan to the Danske Bank Premiership, we wanted to celebrate and reward some of the most loyal supporters of our clubs and indeed the lifeblood of the game Northern Ireland.

In partnership with Danske Bank we wanted to recognise the role supporters play in our clubs, from the loyal supporter who travels far and wide to see their team to those who do a hundred little things behind the scenes to make our clubs work.

Superfan nominations closed on 31st March 2018 with a total of 280 nominations across all 12 of the 2017/18 Premiership clubs. Winners were selected by an independent panel based on the number of nominations, dedication and the connection to their club. Each winner was also supported by their club.

The first 12 supporters recognised as 'Superfans' truly reflect the diversity of support within the Irish League and their stories remind us of what makes our league so very special:-

Ards FC – Adrian Monaghan
Ballinamallard United – Helen Hurst
Ballymena United – Clare Warnock
Carrick Rangers – Maurice Langley
Cliftonville FC – Padraig Marshall
Coleraine FC – Andrew McMillen
Crusaders FC – Chris Wilson
Dungannon Swifts – Mabel Winslow
Glenavon FC – Tom Mitchell
Glentoran FC – Allen Davidson
Linfield FC – James Murphy
Warrenpoint Town – Daniel Brannigan

The Superfan evening was another project delivered through the Danske Bank sponsorship activation that has enabled club focused projects such as, small business support, toolkit and workshops, the Danske Day celebration event and Club Focus promotional videos.
