SUPER CRUES LEAD EUROPEAN CHARGE

Crusaders are through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League following a superb 1-1 draw with Estonian Meistriliiga leaders Levadia in Tallinn.

The Crues progress on away goals - the first leg ended scoreless at Seaview - and now face Albanian side Skënderbeu in the Second Qualifying Round.

Stephen Baxter's men travel to Korçë for the first leg on July 14th before hosting their opponents on the 21st.

Michael Carvill handed the Crues a tremendous boost after just four minutes with a clinical finish beyond 'keeper Priit Pikker after Paul Heatley had lifted the ball over the defence.

Levadia levelled on 22 minutes when, following a foul on Artur Pikk, Estonian international Siim Luts found the net with free-kick dispatched into the top corner.

And despite coming under some pressure as the game progressed the Crues held out to get the result they needed - and, in fact, almost snatched victory on the night when Heatley struck the crossbar in the dying moments.
