Crusaders slipped to fourth in the table after failing to hold onto the lead at home to Dungannon Swifts.

Scoreless in the first half, the Crues created the best of what chances were created. Billy Joe Burns did well to send the ball across the box for Jordan Owens only for his subsequent shot to end up in the side netting.

Then, later in the half, Owens collected a ball played over the top but, from the edge of the area, fired over.

After the break Paul McElroy burst through the home defence and looked to have found the net only for Rodney Brown to save the day for Crusaders with a clearance.

The deadlock was broken on 71 minutes when Swifts 'keeper Stuart Addis failed to claim a long Sean Ward punt down the right allowing Owens in to nod the ball into the unguarded net.

However, the visitors levelled within three minutes after McElroy floated over a strong corner for Chris Hegarty to direct a header past Brian Jensen.
