SNODDY TAKES JUST TEN SECONDS TO SET CRUES ON VICTORY COURSE

Crusaders swept to a three-goal victory over Glentoran at Seaview to move into third spot in the table.

The Crues needed just ten seconds to open the scoring when Matthew Snoddy spotted Elliott Morris off his line and lobbed the keeper from outside the area.

Then, on 12 minutes, it was 2-0 after Ross Clarke clinically unleashed a free-kick from a similar position past the wall and into the net at the near post.

Crusaders were reduced to ten men just after the hour when Sean Ward was shown his second yellow card in four minutes following a foul on Robbie McDaid.

But, undeterred, Stephen Baxter's side went on to grab a third 12 minutes from time through skipper Colin Coates after he got his head to a Clarke cross to direct the ball beyond Morris.
