Linfield goalkeeper Roy Carroll has been selected for the Northern Ireland for the forthcoming World Cup qualifying games.

Northern Ireland will complete their 2018 World Cup qualifiying group with games against Germany at home on Thursday 5 October followed by Norway away on Sunday 8 October.

Manager Michael O’Neill has selected the 39-year-old in his 26-man squad alongside fellow goalkeepers Michael McGovern (Norwich City) and Alan Mannus (St. Johnstone). Mannus alongside Gareth McAuley, Niall McGinn and Stuart Dallas are all graduates from the Danske Bank Premiership now starring at International level.

Roy Carroll has currently acquired 45 caps for Northern Ireland since making his debut against Thailand in May 1997.
