Ryan Curran scored twice after the break as new Cliftonville boss Paddy McLaughlin made it two wins from two with victory over Warrenpoint Town at Milltown.
'Point had the first effort of note, however, when Alan O'Sullivan got in behind the Reds defence only for keeper Richard Brush to smother the danger.
Cliftonville had a chance at the other end after Joe Gorman rose highest to nod a corner wide while Ryan Curran dragged the ball the wrong side of the target a few minutes after that.
Then, with just over a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock Conor McMenamin was denied by Danny Wallace's goalline clearance after meeting a Chris Curran cross to the back post.
After withstanding a period of pressure Warrenpoint had a couple of efforts of their own as the first half progressed, both through Deane Watters but both going behind.
In what developed into an evenly matched encounter up to that point the Reds eventually found a way through on 64 minutes when Ryan Curran turned inside the box to send a low shot past Berraat Turker into the bottom corner.
And it was 2-0 eight minutes after that with Curran again getting his name on the scoresheet to beat Turker with an angled drive following a flowing move.
