Cliftonville rediscovered that winning touch with a three-goal victory over Institute at Solitude.
The Reds needed just six minutes to open the scoring after 'Stute defender Dean Curry turned a Jamie McGovern throw-in into the path of the Ryan Curran to finish past Martin Gallagher.
Then, three minutes later, it was 2-0. Thomas Maguire created the opening, cutting the ball back, for Joe Gormley to slam it into the net.
The visitors had a moment of promise on 20 minutes when Michael McCrudden advanced down the right before crossing for Jamie Dunne but he could only fire over.
At the other end Chris Curran could only look on as his goalbound effort from the edge of the area was deflected away by Caoimhin Bonner.
Institute came close to reducing the deficit on the stroke of half-time only to be denied by a Levi Ives goal line clearance after Callum Moorehead looked to make the most of the rebound from an initial Ronan Wilson effort.
However, Cliftonville extended their advantage just after the hour with Gormley's second of the night, a header from McGovern's cross following some good work from Maguire down the right.
Moorehead was thwarted by a clearance off the line again on 79 minutes with Chris Curran denying him while, a little later, Jamie McIntyre found himself through only to fail to make the opening count.
