Two goals apiece from Johnny McMurray and Martin Donnelly helped Larne sweep to a crushing victory over Institute at the Brandywell.
Larne started brightly, coming close as early as the second minute when Tomas Cosgrove crossed from the right for Johnny McMurray but his snapshot was palmed away by Rory Brown.
The opening goal came on 16 minutes. Again Cosgrove delivered a cross from the right for McMurray to head home from the edge of the six yard box.
Martin Donnelly might have made it 2-0 on 26 minutes with a curling effort back off an upright but, seconds later, he did find the net with a sublime finish from 20 yards.
Then, on the half-hour, McMurray doubled his tally with a sweet strike into the top right corner following a slick passing move.
Larne were reduced to ten men just a couple of minutes into the second half when keeper Conor Mitchell was dismissed for bringing down Cormac Burke just outside the area.
Despite this, the visitors added to their advantage on the hour with Donnelly's second of the game, a deflected finish following a one-two.
'Stute did pull one back with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Joe McCready scored from the spot after Fuad Sule was adjudged to have handled inside the box.
Prior to kick-off Institute announced the appointment of Sean Connor as their new manager to replace the interim team of Paul McLaughlin and Sean Friars who stepped into the role following the resignation of John Quigg at the start of the season.
