Ballinamallard United finally secured their first point of the season with this draw at home to Cliftonville.

The Mallards moved into the lead on 22 minutes. A Richard Clarke shot was adjudged to have been handled by Jamie Harney and from the resultant penalty Ryan Curran converted for the third time this season into the corner beyond Brett Long.

Garry Breen levelled for the Reds on 37 minutes with a back post header after Martin Donnelly delivered a cross into the box.

Cliftonville came within a whisker of moving in front on the hour after Jay Donnelly took the ball round 'keeper Richard Brush only to see his goal bound effort come off the inside of the post.
