Jordan Owens grabbed a stoppage time winner as Crusaders defeated Cliftonville in the first North Belfast derby of the season at Seaview.
The Crues might have moved in front as early as the sixth minute when Paul Heatley skied the ball from around 12 yards after Rory Patterson took the ball into the area before laying it off.
However, the deadlock was broken on 14 minutes when referee Ian McNabb pointed to the spot after ruling that Colin Coates had controlled a Joe Gormley flick with his arm just inside the area.
Gormley duly stepped up to blast the penalty straight down the middle in off the crossbar to give the Reds the lead, setting a new Cliftonville scoring record in the process.
Crusaders fought back, almost levelling after half-an-hour when Owens blasted over from close range after Jordan Forsythe had created the opening.
But the Crues did equalise three minutes before half-time through Patterson's clinical finish from the edge of the area when Owens found him with a flicked ball.
Stephen Baxter's then moved in front ten minutes into the second half thanks to Richard Clarke's curling free-kick over the wall from just outside the area which gave Richard Brush no chance.
Back came Cliftonville, however, with Gormley's second spot-kick - executed as clinically as the first - after Owens was adjudged to have nudged Garry Breen.
Heatley had the ball in the net for the Crues a couple of minutes after that but he was found to be offside after connecting with Matthew Snoddy's lay-off on the edge of the area.
The second half became an increasingly scrappy affair and it appeared a draw would be the likely outcome but Owens had other ideas, popping up in the 92nd minute to touch the ball home at the near post after Patterson got past Conor McMenamin to play a pass across the area.
