GLENAVON PUT CRUES TO THE SWORD

Glenavon leapfrogged Crusaders into fourth spot - just a point behind the leading trio - with this ultimately comfortable victory at Seaview.

The visitors moved in front after nine minutes when, from an Eoin Bradley cross from the right, Kyle Neill miskicked and from the ensuing scramble Kevin Braniff got the final touch at the back post.

But the Crues levelled within five minutes, however, when Jordan Owens headed an uncleared corner back into the area for Declan Caddell to turn into the net.

Glenavon regained the advantage three minutes from the break when the ball dropped from a corner for Ciaran Caldwell to tee up Bradley to turn home.

Then, a couple of minutes after that, it was 3-1 when Braniff was given a clear shot on goal to double his tally.

Caldwell added to Glenavon's lead on 76 minutes when he made the most of a Sean O'Neill mistake.
