Adam Foley grabbed a quick fire hat-trick as Glenavon hit Ballinamallard United for six at Mourneview Park.

Ryan Curran opened the scoring for the Mallards after 27 minutes with a successfully executed spot-kick into the bottom right corner, awarded after he had been brought down by James Singleton.

Glenavon levelled just a couple of minutes later, however, through Rhys Marshall's cool finish into the bottom right.

Foley made it 2-1 on 51 minutes with a back post header after Andy Hall had delivered the cross, followed swiftly by his second of the game blasted into the roof of the net after a Marshall effort had been blocked.

Then, moments after that, Andrew Mitchell added Glenavon's fourth from close range when he poked home another Hall cross from the right.

Foley then grabbed his hat-trick just after the hour when the ball came back off the bar for him to rifle home from the left side of the box.

The Mallards did grab a consolation through Curran on 72 minutes, his second of the game but Mitchell restored Glenavon's four goal advantage right at the end with a diving header.
