Linfield breezed into the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup with a five-goal defeat of Institute at Windsor Park.
The Blues really should have gone in front as early as the third minute when Michael O'Connor squared the ball for Andrew Waterworth but his close range effort deflected off Institute keeper Ray Kelly.
But Linfield did seize the lead on 20 minutes when a Niall Quinn volley took a deflection off Caoimhin Bonner after two initial efforts had been blocked.
Then, on the half-hour mark, Waterworth redeemed himself with a strong finish into the roof of the net from the rebound following an O'Connor shot off an upright.
And a couple of minutes after that it was 3-0 as Quinn doubled his tally with a superb curling free-kick from outside the area into the top corner which left Kelly rooted to the spot.
Linfield extended their advantage with just over an hour gone when, from an O'Connor pass, Waterworth knocked home his second of the night.
Kirk Millar completed the scoring with 11 minutes remaining with a sublime finish over Kelly who had left his line in an attempt to get to a Joel Cooper through ball.
