Goals from David Cushley and Paul Heatley helped Crusaders crush Cliftonville in the North Belfast derby at Solitude.
The Crues raced into the lead as early as the third minute. Cliftonville defender Jaimie McGovern brought down Declan Caddell as he raced into the area, prompting referee Andrew Davey to point to the spot and from the subsequent penalty Cushley stepped up to send keeper Richard Brush the wrong way.
Then, ten minutes later, it was 2-0 courtesy of Heatley's left-foot after he rifled the ball into the top corner following a fantastic move down the left involving Cushley and Ross Clarke.
Heatley then had a great chance just after the half-hour mark to make it 3-0 but his shot across goal just missed creeping in at the far post
It was 3-0 early in the second half, however, when Cushley doubled his tally with an unstoppage drive beyond Brush into the opposite corner.
Cushley turned provider on 72 minutes for Heatley to grab his second and Crusaders' fourth to truly kill the game off.
Heatley then bagged his hat-trick with four minutes to go after being released after a Rory Patterson-Clarke one-two.
Rory Donnelly did tap home a consolation for the beleagured Reds a couple of minutes later but it did little to lift home spirits on an afternoon they'll want to forget.
