CRUES MAKE DOUBLE SIGNING

Danske Bank Premiership champions Crusaders have announced the double signing of Ross Clarke (from Linfield) and Michael Ruddy (from Ards) ahead of the new season.

25-year-old Clarke joins the club following his release from Linfield last month. The County Down based winger has joined after seven seasons at Windsor Park, having joined the club as a teenager, he also won the Danske Bank Premiership title and Irish Cup double in 2016/2017.

Full-back Michael Ruddy spent two seasons with Ards, having made his bow in the NI Football League with Ballymena United in August 2012. The 24-year-old had previously been on the books of the North Belfast side and signs a three year deal with Crusaders.

Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter has also been boosted as experienced defender Mark McChrystal has signed a one-year extension to his current contract, having joined last season from Bristol Rovers.
