The Crues had to settle for a point from this visit to Stangmore Park as they saw their lead at the top reduced.

Stephen Baxter's side got off to a great start with Gavin Whyte being denied by 'keeper Andy Coleman at the back post while a Richard Clarke effort moments later was tipped wide.

Further first half chances followed as Jordan Owens fired over the crossbar from a great position before a later header from a Clarke free-kick went across the face of goal.

But the Swifts stunned their visitors by grabbing the lead on 57 minutes when Ryan Harpur fired in from distance, the ball taking a deflection on its way past Sean O'Neill.

That lead was only short lived, however, as Paul Heatley levelled on the hour despite Coleman doing his best to block the effort.

Heatley tested Coleman again five minutes after that while Declan Caddell headed narrowly over.

Jamie Glackin almost snatched the points for Dungannon towards the end only for O'Neill to be alert to tip the ball over.
